Why We Run
For 30 years, 3 "A" Bereavement Foundation has been beside Houston families in their hardest moments — providing funeral guidance, crime victims assistance, financial aid, grief counseling, and aftercare at no cost. The Chevron Houston Marathon is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Every dollar your miles raise goes directly to those services.

Fundraise for Registration (FFR)
Commit to fundraising a minimum amount for the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, or We Are Houston 5k and in exchange, receive an entry into your selected race. |
HERO Registration
Purchase your entry at a reduced rate plus a one-time $350 tax-deductible donation to 3ABF. Registration comes with a personal fundraising page to raise additional funds. |

Not at all. Team 3ABF includes runners, walkers, and everyone in between. You choose your race (5K, half marathon, or full marathon) based on where you are.
What if I don't reach my fundraising goal?
We're here to help. Every Team 3ABF runner receives a fundraising guide to help you hit the ground running. If you'd like a personal walkthrough, we're happy to jump on a call, and we're here for support throughout your entire campaign. You're not in this alone.
Can I run in memory of someone I've lost?
Yes, and we encourage it. Many of our teammates run to honor a loved one. If you'd like to share their name or story, reach out to us at [email protected].
