GRIEF COUNSELING

We'll hold your hand through the journey

3ABF provides grief counseling services for low-income families with a simple vision in mind — that they will have accessible, quality bereavement services to relieve the pain of their loss.

Individual and group counseling services are offered for up to one year following the death of a loved one to surviving immediate family members (children, siblings, spouses and parents). We realize that children are particularly vulnerable and children are often overlooked where bereavement counseling is concerned.

3A assists bereaved families, who are low-income families on a fixed income and/or the working poor which have limited to no means to obtain grief counseling services.

Providing an informal, relaxed opportunity for families to seek healing and wholeness is critically important. Up to five (5) hours of group
and/or individual sessions are provided by certified in-staff volunteers or contracted professionals at no charge to low-income and working poor bereaved families.

If Crime Victims Compensation (CVC) funds are available, they will support up to forty (40) outpatient counseling sessions for family members of victims of violent crimes.
